We were contracted to remove a well worn kitchen and to design and fit a replacement that was more modern and durable.
The client had a clear vision and spoke with us in depth about the aesthetic and functionality of the new kitchen they imagined. We discussed their budget and helped design a replacement kitchen meeting their requirements for more storage, maximised worktop space and new, high quality integrated appliances; as well as sourcing new lighting, tiling and flooring – all with the high end finish they desired.
Before work on the new kitchen could begin we needed to remove the old kitchen, move and install new power sockets, repair the damaged ceiling and fit their new LED downlighting. Understanding the inconvenience this process can cause and the need for access to be restored as quickly as possible, we established a schedule of work in consultation with the client which worked for them and minimised disruption to their day to day life.
Installing the kitchen involved adapting the plumbing to accommodate an integrated washing machine, making modifications to the cupboards as purchased to maximise storage space, and installing a cooker hood to match the new electric hob. Finally we tiled with a high gloss pastel tile and fitted an oak laminate floor giving the kitchen a warm homely feeling.
The client was thrilled with both the finish and the amount of space we freed up from their formally cramped kitchen.
