These clients had recently purchased their first house together and their primary concern was maximising storage.
We had initially assisted them in constructing and securing some flat pack furniture. At that time they mentioned they were considering renting a storage locker for the overflow of belongings. We wondered if there might be a more direct solution and suggested that we take at look at their roof space. We proposed a non-habitable loft conversion, explaining that rather than taking out a monthly contract to keep their items off site, their loft space could be quickly and simply converted into an accessible storage option at a one-off cost. We left them with a quote and schedule of work to compare against local prices for off-site storage.
The clients decided to take us up on this project and we were invited back to install loft legs and loft boards to their sizeable loft. We also installed a loft ladder which provided quick and easy access to their new storage area.
This quick and simple solution not only drastically increased their storage as needed, but also kept everything they owned on site, increased the value of their property, and provided a more permanent solution than a pay monthly locker.
